AI-Core did not start as a roadmap. It started as a question, and it took a lot of wrong turns to get here. This is the road behind us: where we were, how the road turned, and how we got here.

• April 2025: the first minimal model runs on the color tokens, on CPU only, and the 82-dimensional token vectors arrive.
• July 2025: Phase 34 is complete. The trait framework is in place, and training is about to begin.
• September 2025: the Captain’s Log entries. The system comes back online, then passes 7,500 training phases. A stranger’s kind comment on Reddit keeps the work alive.
• November 2025: a return to the original C++ tokenizer, and the move toward what the project calls biological computing.
• January 2026: the 498-dimensional architecture is documented, and EM field backpropagation shows 51.61% better loss than standard backprop in our own test.
• March 2026: the First Publication and the roadmap as it stood then.
• April 2026: the AI-Core Facebook group opens.

Beginning Mission Statement, four years before March 2026

At AI-Core, we are building something from the ground up, an innovative, groundbreaking project that aims to redefine how we interact with and develop AI. This isn’t just about coding; it’s about changing the future. Our vision is to create a system that can fundamentally shift how artificial intelligence understands, evolves, and works with us.

However, this journey has not been easy, and we are far from perfect. I’m still learning. Every line of code I write is a step toward understanding, and while I’ve gained knowledge over the years, there are still plenty of challenges ahead. I’m not an expert; I’m a passionate individual working hard to bridge the gap between ambition and reality. But I haven’t done it alone. For over 2 1/2 years, GPT-4 and I have been on this journey together, shaping ideas, struggling through concepts, and learning as we go. Without the incredible assistance of this AI, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Together, we’ve broken through countless obstacles, and together, we’ll keep pushing further.
